The only thing that differs humans from animal is the ability to be intelligent. Where as animals follow instinct, humans have higher faculties such as perception, reason, will, imagination, memory and intuition. By making use of either one or more of these faculties, humans have achieved far beyond any other living being have achieved in this planet.

Now let us look at the reality, are humans really intellectual beings? For me, the definition of intelligence is the ability to come up with something new based on existing facts and information. Some kind of a new art, music, science or even a mathematical formula. It can also be defined as the ability to simplify complex logic, simplicity to make other people understand what one wants to express, communication of ideas in a way. If you want to impress someone, make it complex, but if you want to help someone, make it simple.

A good portion of humans are like animals, instead of using these higher faculties, humans listen to the basic instinct to follow what is being taught to them. Like the animals in the circus who follows every command of the ring master, these humans follow the command of other people who they think are intellectual. It may be their boss or a teacher or a preacher. So if humans are following orders, instead of using the faculties of intelligence, what is the difference between them and the animals?

Intelligence is not mugging up all the information you can find without making any use of it. Such an information is only useful while showing off in a dinner table with friends and relatives. “Hey, did you know, the scientists recently discovered you can use mind to control mater”. Yeah? so what did you do with your mind?

Any high quality information is useless unless you find ways to make use of it. Each individual have their own requirement for the information they need, information which will be useful for their career, life, or anything which they can find a use of. But how many people goes after such information? Only a handful percentage of humans does, who are now at the top of what they do, whether it be business, science, art or any other sector. The world is run by such intellectual people, because they deserve to. They are the leaders, the true leaders who have the potential to control, manipulate and give a reason for the heard of sheep to live.

It doesn’t matter if people are sheep or shepherd or a tiger, everyone fits right in the place based on the mental faculties they are using. Based on what I know today, and looking back at my self, I too was once a sheep. It was some sort of a blessing which brought into my life the needful experiences and the knowledge thereafter to break out from the masses and identify myself as a Tiger.
